This is my final typography post so far. I really like the playful atmosphere it hs and it fits well with the quote. I still have to add some gradients and and make it look better. However, I am having trouble trying to make those gradients look good and i am working on that. What do you guys think?

Hey so these are my drafts for my final project. I like all of them but what really inspires me is the “We are young Yet Wise” design. I know it does not look like much now but I will make it look a lot better.

Hey so I tried to do this interesting tutorial within photoshop and illustrator. I realize it soen`t look 100% percent realistic  but I know what to do differently. I hope you guys like it anyways. I like the texture of the text and the extreme lighting for the image. I think there are a lot of possibilities for this technique. The only things I don`t like about it is how the text doesn`t fit well with this lighting and my shadow could have been made better. hey so i found this cool mummy effect tutorial. the link for it is http://vectips.com/tutorials/create-a-mummy-text-effect/ . It is really cool so you should check it out. I tried to be more original in the placements of the strips but I realized it looks better when the strips are thicker, not thinner. I am still going to keep working in this and get a lot better.

woohoo graphic design midterm

 BALANCE: This part of the typography represents balance. It is able to represent balance by the length and shape of the curves. Both of the curves are the same length and both consist of the same thickened swerve at the end.  

 DOMINANCE: Dominance is represented in the visual of the man. At first, you spot the white outlines of him. But after you notice the gray outlines and begin to define his face and body. The blank sections act as the shadows in which you define.

 UNITY: As the many circles fly in the air, they all become unified. This logo represents unity through the ease it shows. Since it is all circles it is easier to look at and define rather than a mix of shapes. All of the circles come to together and unify into a blur of stars.

 RHYTHM: This logo easily represents rhythm by the sway of the letters. The way the right side of the “A” and the two “l”`s both sway in the same direction but has movement. It is not exact and even rhythm but true rhythm never really is.

PROPORTION: This trail of stars represents proportion because of the colors and formation of the stars. The unevenness and randomness of the formation of the stars make it look more real. Also, the shaded stars on the back give it visual depth and a more complex shape. The shape of the circles are also more random and scattered.

For 2, i just added my 2 favorite colors to this already awesome design and it looks like something i would do.  I really i want to go for this relaxing and comfy surfer look. My future ideas with this design would look something around a surfboard… ? I want people to feel that this logo is cool, stylish, and beachy. I wouldn`t change much my maybe just the circle design. Some comments i got for this logo is that i should refine the letters more and change the shape of the oval. Another comment was about changing colors. What do you think i should do?

For logo 1 I really am proud of because it is a coo land funky way to incorporate my initials. It came to me all of the sudden and i knew i had to create it. PLus, i looks awesome. I would change it by adding some more color and making it look more like a frog but still, its pretty good. For 2, i just added my 2 favorite colors to this already awesome design and it looks like something i would do. I wouldn`t change much my maybe just the circle design. I would improve the ‘R’ letter because it doesnt look as smooth as the other letters. NUmber #2- i like this one because it is just me drawing my name as cool and as i could without making it look slow and perfect, because I like the sloppyness of it. NUmber #3- i like this one because it reminds me of a boat for reason, and i like boats :).
